Here's to 2016, but first, let's look at what massaged my earholes all year long. Bottoms up.

I listened to it on drugs, I listened to it off drugs, I listened to it while mindless and I focused once and let it possess my senses. I'm not sure which version of me enjoyed it the most and which one left me scared in the shower.

At the surface, Forces Of Nurture might be another feel good rock album, but Midnight Reruns make sure to bring it to life with incredible songs paced to constantly keep your head nodding along.

As many people know, the Fourth of July is one of the most prestigious and well known nationwide celebrations of any proud individual. While I and the rest of The Alternative will be celebrating, I wanted to leave a post about songs that will be on my playlist this weekend.

This EP is hard to classify and almost as hard to write about. It is refreshing yet familiar. It has a feel of oldies music while adding a great amount of variety to keep it new aged. We Leave At Midnight help take classic rock, shoegaze and indie music to a new place on this EP Terror Flora. 

Anyone that was followed my music preferences in the last year will know how much I loved Emma Ruth Rundle's album Some Heavy Ocean. A year later we find her back with the post-rock outfit Marriages, a three piece band out of California. 

It is as if the true sounds from behind bedroom doors during the 90s has escaped into the world. Adventures' debut full length reimagines alternative rock from the decade with as much energy as possible.
