Mooseblood (along with Neck Deep and the reunited Basement) are at the forefront of a surge of English emo punk bands gaining popularity within the US. I’ll Keep You In Mind, From Time To Time marks their debut LP, and their first big release since they’ve started getting some American attention. Released on No Sleep Records on October 6th, this album is an encouraging step in the right direction for the young British band, and hopefully a sign of even better things to come.

Diarrhea PlanetIf you’ve never heard of Diarrhea Planet, yep that’s their name. At least it’s memorable. If you have heard of Diarrhea Planet before, then maybe, like me, you were hit by the wave of hype surrounding their last LP, I'm Rich Beyond Your Wildest Dreams, and reminded yourself that the hype can’t be real. Well that was silly because sometimes the hype is real and the band is really awesome. Diarrhea Planet have been putting out some great guitar driven rock jams. (They use four guitars and do it well). They just released two tracks from an upcoming EP on Infinity Cat Records...

On These Days Are Gone, Free Throw have further refined the hybrid sound of Lavender Town. Sure they've dropped the samples (I'll have to add my own), but the same elements are present and improved. The smooth parts are more melodic, the guitar parts are more delicate, the screams are strategically placed. Is it perfect? No. Is it all that I wanted? Yes.

I decided to wait a while before writing  this review. I wanted to make sure that I was certain of what I was going to say because this is an important review. It's important because Joyce Manor's "Never Hungover Again"  is an important record and possibly the album of the year.
