After programming the amazing video for “Heaven’s Gate” (the latest single by Brooklyn post-punkers A Very Special Episode) on the most recent episode of ALT TV, it was only right to catch up with A Very Special Episode after a sweaty show at Econo Lodge. We talked with Kasey Heisler, Patrick Porter, and Chayse Schutter about how being in a band is kind of like being in a cult (” throwing beer cans as a display of affection, contributing a song to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs cover tribute album Cool Kids Belong Together, and their upcoming album Freak Me Out.
