'The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here', while not nearly as outwardly anguished or thunderous as 1992’s 'Dirt', still stands as a much more refined version of the band. In some ways, Alice in Chain’s fifth album was their second run at writing a sophomore album as a band, and probably the more successful of the two. It holds up.
