Track Premiere: Tiny Blue Ghost – “Hurricane”

Posted: by admin

Today we have another sweet track premiere. This one is from New Paltz band, Tiny Blue Ghost, who are now releasing the first single “Hurricane” from their upcoming LP Mend Again. The track features a strong vocal performance from frontwoman Marissa Carroll who had this to say about the track:

“Hurricane is a song I wrote soon after graduating college to empower myself when feeling hopeless about the future. It’s very easy to get down on yourself when things don’t end as planned, no matter how many times people tell you it wasn’t your fault. We just have to keep in mind that everything is temporary, and there is no sense in giving up when you’ve barely started.

Tiny Blue Ghost draws influence from bands like Now, Now, Radiohead, and Death Cab for Cutie, and you can hear a bit of each of those in their music. There also might be a bit of Diet Cig in there as Marissa provided some backup harmonies on the fellow New Paltz band’s debut album “Swear I’m Good At This.

Take a listen to Hurricane below, and add Tiny Blue Ghost to the growing list of amazing bands coming out of New York State.

Tiny Blue Ghost’s second album Mend Again will be released on 4/12 via Chatterbot Records.
