It’s been a little over two months since Spring Silver, the recording project of K. Nkanza, dropped their excellent sophomore album I Could Get Used to This. Featuring contributions from Bartees Strange, Dylan Baldi of Cloud Nothings, Sadie Dupuis, Mister Goblin, Jhariah, and many more, I Could Get Used to This builds on the foundation of emo and post-hardcore, stretching it in every way imaginable. Anchored down by Nkanza’s singular style as well as their fondness for heavy riffs, the ten tracks that make up I Could Get Used to This are fervent, unpredictable, and wholly entertaining.

Today we’re stoked to be premiering the music video for “Set Up a Camera,” the albums fiery penultimate track. About the video Nkanza said: “Filmmaker Claire Maske hit me up to see if she could use my track “Set Up a Camera” for a short film she was making. What I didn’t realize was that it was going to be a full blown music video! She teamed up with visual artist Tomas Orrego, who did the amazing text graphics, to create this super colorful, stroboscopic experience! The narrative follows a party as it slowly descends into chaos. The camera swivels from scene to scene as you see the partygoers’ states deteriorate. It totally fits the vibe of the track. I love it!
