Last year, the New Jersey three-piece Puddle Splasher dropped their debut full-length Separate States via Animal Style Recordings (Pillow Talk, Henrietta), and today we’re premiering a music video for one of the record’s best tracks, “Decent Thoughts.” It’s a satisfying slow-burner that falls somewhere in between Real Estate and Microwave; a mid-paced bass groove and muttery vocals eventually give way to a mass of fuzzy guitars and a huge chorus. The video is interesting too, depicting the band lazily strumming alongside a melancholy young man going about his monotonous daily activities.

Check it out below:

The band will also be playing ‘Time To Die? Fest 2’ on July 1 (this Saturday) alongside Tula Vera, Good Looking Friends, Stay Inside and more at Boontunes in Boonton, NJ. The event will also feature a Super Smash Bros. tournament in which half of the proceeds will be donated to the sexual violence prevention organization, RAINN. Check out all of the details here.
