Spawning from the release of their 2019 album A Healthy Earth, the music video for “Don’t” channels lo-fi images of a technological dystopia a la Black Mirror to partner with Peaer’s fervent perception of math rock. Featuring appositions of turn-of-the-century tech, the visual companion to the Brooklyn-based trio’s music serves as the ideal testament to the fabric of their music; boasting Y2K-era vibes to mask motifs of emotional turmoil and struggle. The video’s artistry flows from its utilization of emptiness and void as a gentle connection to the band’s rhythmic, patient style of energetic indie rock. The band’s mastery of their craft is second to none and is on full display when paired with such a well-composed and creative visual medium.

Catch Peaer on tour this spring with Strange Ranger and Ian Sweet.
