Video Premiere: Mom Jeans. “Girl Scout Cookies” Video

Berkeley, CA’s Mom Jeans. have given us the exclusive scoop on their first ever music video. The video is for their track “Girl Scout Cookies” off of their latest release– Best Buds, their first full length album. The video tells a story of an angsty teen punk rock bee (portrayed by vocalist Eric Butler), and his journey to play the basement rock gig.
The band said of the video; “We knew we wanted to do something with a story line because we’re really into videos that have all the cool stuff like live playing and partying and friends but to us the ones that have a slight story always stick the most. This story line was supposed to communicate that kind of time in life that everyone has (musical or not) where you feel compelled to give up. But there’s an element of like “no, fuck that, I’m gonna do what I want” and learning that if you do what makes you happy the people you meet and the friends you make are all hella worth it. Our director Royce had the idea for the costumes, and we knew we wanted to also play a show and party with our friends so that’s what we did. The process and making it together alone was so fun that it was worth doing and we had a blast.”
