Video Premiere: Matchstick Ghost – “My Therapist Knows All About You”

Posted: by The Editor

Matchstick Ghost hasn’t many songs to their name, but they’re gunning to be your new favorite band.

The Denton, TX, alt rockers have a winning mix of emo, pop-punk, and indie rock all slushed together to create something fun and fresh – if you like bands like Petrov, Somos, or Least, you’ll find a lot to love in Matchstick Ghost’s slick rock. The band is gearing up to drop their debut EP While We’re Alive on Philly’s Nap Time Records, home to woefully underrated projects like Another Hospital and Stand & Wave. Matchstick Ghost’s sound fits in perfectly, only with a crisper, more immediately captivating edge.

We’re excited today to bring you the band’s very first single, “My Therapist Knows All About You.” The song is driving and melodic, highlighting the band’s pop-punk roots. It’s a great introduction for the young band, sure to have a bright future ahead of them, and it’s not even the best track on While You’re Alive.

Check out the video below.

The band is touring this May:
