Video Premiere: Bummer Camp – “Your Worth”

Between touring with their punk band Teenage Halloween, playing bass on tour for JER, and producing Jane Lai’s fantastic debut, Eli Frank has also been putting together their own solo project, slowly rolling out a collection of hazy, psychedelic rockers as Bummer Camp over the past year or so. We’re psyched to premiere the video for the latest of these tunes, “Your Worth,” a track bathed in fuzzy, upbeat guitars—with a jaw-dropping solo in the middle—and huge 80s vocals that wouldn’t feel out of place on a John Hughes soundtrack, as Frank delivers lines like “show the world that you’re worth something / show the world what you have done / never worried that you were lonely / never worried that you can’t love.”

The video, shot by Luke Carr, follows Frank as they dance, strum, sing, and smoke around Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, highlighting sites from the 1964 World’s Fair, giving the whole thing a vintage feel that matches the garage-rock vibes of the tune.

Bummer Camp’s self-titled EP will be out everywhere tomorrow.
