Track Review: Fuzzy Slippers – “Feel Sick”
Posted: by The Alt Editing Staff
South Jersey ska-punk band Fuzzy Slippers has just released the first single off of their upcoming album Let’s Get Nervous. “Feel Sick” is a high-energy track about the nervous excitement of falling for someone. With a blend of upbeat ska rhythms and punk edge, “Feel Sick” brings together catchy horns and raw emotion making it the perfect anthem for overthinkers who know the feeling of butterflies all too well.
The track was mixed by Mark Watter at Headroom Studios, with Johanna Baumann assisting, and mastered by Matt Poirier. The band’s core lineup includes Andy Walsh (lead vocals, guitar), Ryan Shello (guitar, horns, backing vocals), Nick Thomas (drums, backing vocals), and Mickey Collins (bass, backing vocals). The song also features backing vocals from Mary Lou Fooder and Amber Botoff and a brass section featuring Tom McHugh on trombone, David DiTrapani on trumpet, and Anya Combs on saxophone, offering a relatable and vibrant take on the anxiety of love.
“Feel Sick” is out now on all streaming platforms.
