Track Premiere: Off Day – “Light & Shadow”

“No sense of adventure, no wonder at the unknown?” asks one voice to another, in which it replies “I can give you efficiency and dedication, but enthusiasm i can’t dredge up even in the minutest degree.” As the recorded voices in the back of Off Day’s debut single, Light & Shadow, fade out, the instrumentals build to form a high energy track about getting back up after being kicked down by feelings of anxiety and apathy.
Made up of vocalist and guitarist Caleb Moore, bassist Riley Hawkins and drummer Daniel Skelly, the Gainesville based three piece fully formed in November of last year and have since finished up an EP which will be released May 21. As Moore shares, the EP is comprised of “mostly straight forward lyrics that dive into a few of my recent and current relationships, focusing on feelings of loneliness, nostalgia and struggling to find self-worth in life after graduating college.”
You can catch them opening for Dikembe & Pool Kids’ tour kick off on July 12 at Loosey’s.
