Track Premiere: Hit Like A Girl – “Cold To Be Alone”

Posted: by admin

Today we are premiering “Cold To Be Alone”, the first single from Hit Like A Girl’s upcoming sophomore LP, What Makes Love Last, which will be released on Chatterbot Records later this year. The track is a calming and thoughtful indie jam about loneliness and fractured relationships.

Lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of Hit Like A Girl, Nicolle Maroulis is a non-binary/queer artist writing music to serve under represented LGBTQ communities, but that’s not where Nicolle’s work stops. Hit Like A Girl dedicates much of their profits to the non-profit organization, No More Dysphoria. An organization Maroulis, alongside Alex Dobrowolski of the band Sunrot, launched to support transgender individuals undergoing major aspects of their transitions, including hormone replacement therapy, gender reassignment surgery, gender behavioral and occupational therapy. You can learn more about their organization by visiting www.nomoredysphoria.com.

Between the great music and the important cause, this is certainly a project worth supporting. Take a listen to “Cold To Be Alone” below, and be on the lookout for more new tracks from Hit Like A Girl coming soon.
