Track Premiere: Hideout – “Feeling”

Posted: by The Editor

Just thinking about having to talk about deeply personal feelings can feel like a big task. The need to be vulnerable with someone that can be weighed down with fear and the uncertainty that comes with it all. But often times, the best thing you can do it just that, allow yourself to feel it – whatever “it” is – and allow yourself to mentally walk through it. That’s what Hideout, does on their new single. The pop duo, made up of Gabriel Rodriguez and Scarlett Stephenson-Connolly, intertwine synth lines, textured guitars and soft vocals that drive catchy hooks.

As the band shares, “We are told to manage our emotions in order to make reasonable, level headed decisions. You can try to compartmentalize everything– you can tell yourself It’s just a feeling and it will pass. At some point, you can’t talk yourself out it, and must allow your self to give in and get washed away.”
