Track Premiere: Expert Timing – “The Bigger Picture”

Florida’s Expert Timing just announced their sophomore album Stargazing, and it’s a monster. The record finds the band sharpening their skills and turning in some of the most anthemic, infectious emo pop in recent memory. Need convincing? We’ve got an exclusive premiere of the LP’s lead single “The Bigger Picture.” Jeff Snyder says, “”The Bigger Picture” was the last song to be completed for Stargazing, but we feel it really encapsulates the overarching theme of the whole record.”
The band’s newest single might well be their best song yet, a bright and summery track that calls to mind the best of The Format or Hot Rod Circuit. If it’d be released when those bands were in their prime, no doubt we’d be talking about Expert Timing with the same reverence as the way we speak of those bands. Stargazing is the sound of Expert Timing becoming the band we always knew they could be, and you don’t want to miss the boat.
