TRACK PREMIERE: ‘Blue Christmas’—Cam Boucher (Sorority Noise, Old Gray)
Posted: by The Alt Editing Staff
2016 has been a big year for Cam Boucher. He launched his own record label, opened up a recording studio, and will have released a slew of music between his current main project Sorority Noise, his now-reborn screamo band Old Gray, his new band Small Circle, and under his own name.
“Blue Christmas” is his somber take on an Elvis Presley classic that’s delivered in the quiet, lethargic manner he’s seemed to have adopted as of late. It’s the first song on the winter-themed compilation Jingle Yay that’s being put out by Punk Talks, an organization that offers free mental health assistance and awareness to bands, fans, and industry professionals.

The compilation features covers and originals by Julien Baker, The World Is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die, Museum Mouth, Ricky Sampson (Foxing), and more.
It will be available via Bandcamp on Dec. 1st and will be limited to 100 copies.
