Track Premiere: american poetry club — “Happy New Year” (Future Teens Cover)

Posted: by The Editor

No Earbuds, the music PR company founded by publicist Jamie Coletta, are gearing up to release EARBUDZ Volume One—a Bandcamp-exclusive charity compilation featuring twenty artists from the No Earbuds roster covering each other’s songs—this Friday, with 100% of the proceeds going towards the Last Prisoner Project. We’ve already heard Caracara’s reimagining of “Mustang” by Bartees Strange as well as Talker’s spirited take on “Heartbeats” by Foxing and today we’re stoked to be bringing you yet another taste of the compilation with American Poetry Club’s cover of “Happy New Year” by Future Teens. American Poetry Club, who have a new EP called do you believe in your heart?! dropping this Friday as well, reshape the track into their own, adding both shuffling grooves and distressed vocals into the mix.
