Song Premiere: miniaturized – “The Most”

Posted: by The Editor

From the first strum of the raw guitar chords accompanied by some subtle synth, “The Most” will make anyone who grew up when west coast punk dominated the national scene feel right at home. A San Diego supergroup of sorts, minitaurized originally formed as a one-off for a show honoring Tom Petty, but that rumination on Petty’s songwriting led to a creative burst from singer Timothy Joseph, culminating in the group’s self-titled debut, out in March. “The Most” is a bit more driving and relentless than the previously released “Cave In,” and the pair make for an intriguing preview of the record.

On the track, Timothy Joseph said:

‘The Most’ comes from personal experience involving the perpetually downward cycle of addiction.  For those who have been through it or love someone who has, it’s a dark world unto itself.  However, there is hope and help out there if you reach for it.

miniaturized’s self-titled debut is out March 31.
