Check out Owl Paws’ new video for “Fade Into You”

The Bay Area’s darling folk band Owl Paws debut a video for “Fade Into You”, their haunting cover of 90’s one hit wonder Mazzy Star. Recorded in 4 hours on an 8 track recorder, Owl Paws do the track justice by adding a modern, earnest sound to the slow and lilting original. The track is part of a compilation by Different Fur Studios called Group Effort Vol. 1 featuring many up and coming Bay area artists like Jay Som, Never Young, and Plush.
The video plays a small homage to an alternate video released in 1994. Both videos featuring gritty film footage of late nights in San Francisco. The footage was shot the night before singer/guitarist Derek Schultz moved to Los Angeles. “We just went out to a bunch of places where we would always get food at all hours of the night around the Mission. It felt like a proper send off.”
Owl Paws will be performing as part of Noise Pop, San Francisco’s week long festival held across various venues in the city.
