Premiere: Retail Drugs – “Person A”

Angel Tapes, an imprint of beloved label Fire Talk Records, illuminates the darkest corners of genre-bending indie rock with new signee Retail Drugs, the tape-recording project of Laveda’s Jake Brooks. Their eerie new single “Person A” is about “wanting to Irish goodbye at a show you paid to go to,” says Brooks. Underpinned by a programmed drum beat, the galloping lo-fi track fuses muffled vocals with distorted instrumentations to channel the group’s high-energy live performances.
