Lubec is easily one of the best bands out of Portland right now. Their dreamy, hazy, angelic tunes have earned them that title. We’re premiering their video for “Hard Potential” a catchy, shoegazy, fun track off of their album Cosmic Debt.

Here’s what vocalist Eddie Charlton had to say:

“We shot this video with director Austin Spayce over a weekend with friends. It has some of our great buds, including members of Two Moons, Dowager, Havania Whaal and Radler – all of whom were pretty much just hanging out with us and conjured some great roles and costumes seemingly out of the moment. They helped really make it come together. My good friend Sean (of Whomever) was visiting in town and was gracious enough to invest the time in nailing the starring role. Our drummer Matt had come up with the basic “sign spinning competition meets Wet Hot American Summer” premise and put in A LOT of effort into all of the awesome props. In a way, given everything that’s happened around us since, this video has quickly become a look back to a more carefree moment. It was really fun!”
