Photography + Review: Biffy Clyro and Dead Poet Society

Posted: by The Editor

Biffy Clyro have been touring the United States for the first time in 5 years in support of their most recent releases, “A Celebration of Endings” and “The Myth of the Happily Ever After.” The band brought their iconic, anthemic sound to Columbus, Ohio on April 27th at the Newport Music Hall, also known as “America’s Longest Continually Running Rock Club.”

As someone who grew from liking to loving this band over the past 5 years, my only perception of their live performance was a band playing to the crowds of major festivals in Europe. It felt exceptionally special getting to see the band bring their stadium rock sound to a hall with a 1,700 person capacity. The opening act, Dead Poet Society, played an exciting set that I really enjoyed. They were a great fit to prepare the crowd for Biffy Clyro, who played an excellent set, mostly playing songs from their newest albums. Our photographer Alec was at the Ohio date to take pictures of the night, check them out while you listen to the latest album below!
