EP Premiere: Heavyhex – ‘Give Yourself Away’

Posted: by The Editor

Long Island’s Heavyhex makes the sort of melodic hardcore that’d make their hometown heroes proud. Breathlessly heavy while at the same time effortlessly catchy, their debut EP Stare from April was a real standout in a year that’s been phenomenal for hardcore. Impressively enough, the band is already back with a two-song EP, and it’s their best two songs yet.

Give Yourself Away finds the band pushes both ends of the spectrum–these tracks explore heavier territory than anything on Stare, but these songs are also more melodic, catchier, more immediately memorable. The EP drops tomorrow, but we’ve got an exclusive stream of Give Yourself Away below. Give it a listen if you like anything from Koyo’s Drives Out East to Oe Step Closer’s This Place We Know.

Give Yourself Away is out tomorrow.
