The First Ever The Alternative (Unofficial) SXSW Showcase!

Hi everyone, if you don’t know me by now- I’m Delaney and I’m a music editor here at The Alternative. I absolutely love being a part of the The Alternative team, and what I am without a doubt most grateful for here is the opportunities this website and co. have granted me. When I was personally approached last summer, being asked if we had a showcase at South By Southwest, I said “No– but we should.” That very same day I approached Henderson, and was simply told “run with it kid”, and here we are, at the beginning of 2017 and I am beyond thrilled to announce that we will be hosting our first ever unofficial South by Southwest showcase! I’ve been working on this pretty much non-stop for the past few months, and it feels great to finally share it with everyone. I’ve been fortunate enough to get some phenomenal bands to participate in our 2 day showcase that will also feature art, zines, and photography from some ridiculously talented folks. There’s a little bit of something for everyone, and we hope to see all of your beautiful faces there!
