Mike Pays Heat is a band I have seen grow pretty quickly. I have interviewed them before and reviewed some of their music. They are known for their blend of punk and gazing instrumental sections weaving through raw and unfiltered vocals. Now we come together to bring you the first song premiere from their debut album, Tape 1 Play in January of 2016. “NNFS” is a perfect representation of the style of punk rock the Philadelphia quartet plays. An energetic groove is established immediately, letting listeners hear the band in a raw state. Most of the album was recorded live, and that presence really shines through on this song.
