Video Premiere: Tim Korenich – “What’ll It Take”

Toledo-based singer-songwriter Tim Korenich is gearing up to release his new LP, What A Weird Thing, on October 30th. The record’s tunes are heartfelt and vibey, lying close to the nebulous indie of The National; at times, I’m tempted to call them folk songs, but they drift and dive with the verve of glistening post-rock. “What’ll It Take,” the new single from the LP, is lead by soft harmonies and snoozy tremolo-guitar. Alex Bolinger’s accompanying visual details a contemplative night-drive, the perfect setting for Korenich’s sinuous musing. But, as is with most things, the scene is not what it seems.
