Video Premiere: Kitty Kat Fan Club – “Happy Now, Loving You”

Kitty Kat Fan Club is perhaps the most light-hearted, contemporary band based out of San Jose, California at the moment. Founded by illustrious scene veteran, Mike Park, Kitty Kat Fan Club is comprised of various hometown friends. After not being in a band with members from the same town since Skankin Pickle (1989-1996), Park wanted to create a musical team he could play, create, and hang out with a few times a month. Alas, Kitty Kat Fan Club was born.

In light of their debut full length, Dreamy Little You, out May 31 on Asian Man Records, we are pleased to premiere their newest video, “Happy Now, Loving You”. The group shared, “We got together and crammed into Mike Park’s little practice room. Filmed on an iPhone 10, the idea was to just play the song and treat it like a live show. We did around 8 takes and we picked the best one. We love it and hope you love it too!”

Proving you don’t need a ton of money to create something cool, the band is the down to earth, wholesome saviors the music industry needs. It’s easy to feel bogged down by life, but Kitty Kat Fan Club breed a new sense of positivity. With their facebook interests including: “music, nice people, and kitties of course”, it’s hard not to fall in love.

Pre-orders are now live for the album on Asian Man’s web store, where 5 percent of proceeds from Dreamy Little You will go to animal rescue groups (including Copper Dream and 13th Street Cat Rescue). Asian Man Records also donates 5 percent of their annual profits to various social justice organizations like Legal Aid Justice Center and Southern Poverty Law Center.
