Track Review: Nonfiction—”Pressed Up Against The Glass”

Posted: by The Editor

Nonfiction’s debut Same Pain was one of my favorite albums of last year, and for whatever reason it seemed to really fly under the radar. In my opinion, it’s about time to correct that, and their latest single “Pressed Up Against the Glass” does just that. It takes the dark alt-rock of Same Pain—not unlike Manchester Orchestra or Microwave—and incorporates strings for a fuller and eerier sound. The final minute of the song finds the band completely letting loose into a cacophonous finale and it’s absolutely exhilarating. The Pennsylvania band is one of the most exciting young groups around now, and “Pressed Up Against the Glass” should be all the proof you need.
