Train and The Goo Goo Dolls are on a joint summer tour around the country bringing their new material and other classics to audiences everywhere. While people might refraining from listening to new material from classic bands, The Goo Goo Dolls fans do not hold back, myself included, because they have never failed to evolve their sound with current musical trends while still nailing the nostalgic elements that brought them to fame with albums like Dizzy Up the Girl and Gutterflower (take note Weezer). Every time I’ve attended a Goo Goo Dolls show, I find myself among the rest of the life long fans feeling just as connected and welcomed to material from their entire discography while we each finding our own reasons to relate to the music. Mine stems from my obsession of watching Treasure Planet every morning before school (and I mean every morning) that Johnny Rzeznik wrote two originals for that inevitably led me to my love of The Goo Goo Dolls while others connections stem all the way to the loss of loved ones to substance abuse. If you’re coming out to this tour, be sure to stick around and catch Train closing out the night afterwards with a setlist full of countless classics that are all found on their Greatest Hits compilation they released last November (and be sure to sing Calling All Angels extra loud). This tour made a stop in New Hampshire on Sunday and Kyle was there to take pictures of the night. Take a listen to each band while you check out the pictures below!
