What’s up with Canadians and great punk rock records: PUP, Pkew Pkew Pkew, Sum 41, and many more. Maybe its all the maple syrup and hockey, I don’t know. Either way, I’m excited every time we get a sweet band from the frozen north, and Stuck Out Here is a perfect example.

The 4 piece’s upcoming record, Until We’re Each Someone Else, will be out everywhere May 31 on Get Party! Records/Must Be Nice Records, and today we are premiering the video for the single “For You, for Me”. The track has a mellow almost Beach Slang esque melodic tempo and its refrain makes for a killer chorus. As the band explained to us, its a song about dealing with loss,

“For You, For Me” was written as an empathetic ode to my old partner who tried to console me after my dad had passed away, as imagined from her perspective, though our love languages were in totally different dialects. she still stood by my side, even as I was frustratingly inconsolable. The love she gave in that trying moment is a testament to the strength and quality of her character and I wanted to reflect that.”

Take a listen to the track below and be on the lookout for the record next month.
