Video Premiere: Critical Hits – “News Feed”

Cast mindless scrolling aside with the first single from St. Petersburg’s own indie rockers, Critical Hits. In their debut, they share their adventures outside of technology by taking it to the trampoline park in “News Feed.” Check out the debut video below.
Vocalist Victor Alvarez bemoans the distractions of social media that cast doubt and disconnection in a way that makes you want to drop your phone into the nearest trash bin. He captures that thought we all hate to admit – that we’re comparing ourselves to our peers, through the limited lens of a selfie or status. For such a numbing experience, Critical Hits breathes life and an easy to chant chorus that makes the feelings of doubt feel so direct and openly universal.
Director Justin Franco captures the freedom of stepping away from the pressures of phones by reminding all of us just how much fun we can have without that Android or iPhone clutched in hand. Just check out all of those sweet dunks from the Critical Hits guys.
Critical Hits’s self-titled EP will be available on all streaming apps on August 9.
