Power Funeral is the moniker under which Adam Parker (ex-We Take Fire) now operates. With their meticulous & holistic approach to introspective indie rock, Parker crafts wonderfully lush soundscapes that are as climactic as they are captivating. On the self-titled EP, Power Funeral has a sound reminiscent of early Ben Gibbard or Phil Elverum compositions but with an added sense of surrealism that transports the listener to a more transcendental headspace. Parker’s deceptively complex approach to songwriting leaves these tracks overflowing with layered instrumentation that reveals itself more and more with each listen.
