Track Premiere: Tundrastomper—’For Flies Only’

Tundrastomper‘s latest track “For Flies Only” is nothing but true to its title. Buzzing spasmodically between woozy, mid-tempo landings and abrupt accelerations with no particular direction in mind, the song could genuinely soundtrack the erratic trajectory of a house fly that’s desperately trying to outlive the fatal swatter. As established on their 2017 full-length O, the Western Mass quartet are an earful of noodly licks and discordant rhythms that bombastically emerge and unassertively subside, pulling from their Massachusetts peers in Kal Marks and Pile while pushing toward the jarringly avant-garde rockism of Palm and Guerilla Toss.

“For Flies Only,” which we’re premiering below, is part of their forthcoming EP Clean It Up, which contains both their most elaborate and simplistic music to date. It’s a ripper.

Clean It Up is out 3/2 via Sad Cactus Records.
