Detroit, MI’s Mover Shaker are exactly the mix of sadness/fear and energy/excitement that seems to be all too well known amongst the DIY community. Their first single “Quiet Room” starts off feeling like waking up from the daze and goes on to ever so accurately describe the feelings of watching someone (maybe even yourself) struggle. Lines like “all the colors in your eyes, I don’t wanna see you cry” and “I can’t live another day to know that you’re not home” are reminiscent of the yearning and crooning lyrics of emo bands past. This song feels like home. This song feels like the comfort of a “Quiet Room,” Listen below.
